About Us
Department of Agricultural Extension, Munshiganj, is the organization that is continuously working on behalf of the Bangladesh government to ensure the agricultural needs and supply of about 176,982 farmer families of the district. The district office of Department of Agricultural Extension, the institution that supervises, plans and evaluates the agricultural activities of 06 upazilas, is located near the supermarket junction of the city and not far from the district launch ghat. The head of the organization is a deputy director. Under this district there are 06 upazila agriculture offices and 203 blocks. Agricultural services are ensured at the grass root level through Sub Assistant Agricultural Officers (SAAOs) deployed at block level.
